“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
The greatest way that God showed his love to us, was through giving his son to die for us on the cross. He knew that we would never be able to achieve perfection or measure up to the standards of God’s law consistently for very long. And because of that, he gave us a way of redemption that wouldn’t require works or anything of our own doing! He gave his son Jesus to be brutally beaten and bruised for our transgressions. He died a painful and excruciating death on the cross so that all we would need to do, is simply believe on him and ask for his forgiveness! How simple and easy for us! God loved us so much that He prepared this one and only way of salvation for us that doesn’t require our own works! That is the greatest gift of love that any person could give!
