“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

If you’re anything like me, contentment doesn’t always come naturally. The laundry piles up, the bills feel endless, and the noise of the world never seems to quiet down. We strive, we plan, we hustle—yet our hearts still ache for peace. Real peace. The kind that settles deep into our souls and quiets the anxiety that so often lurks beneath the surface.

Isaiah 26:3 is a gentle whisper from the Lord that reminds us where true contentment comes from. It’s not in the size of our home, the balance of our bank account, or how perfectly our days go. No, it’s in the stillness of a mind that’s anchored in Him.

“Whose mind is stayed on thee…”
This isn’t just about thinking about God once in the morning and then rushing through the day. This is a steady gaze. A heart posture. A daily choice to keep turning our attention back to Jesus when the world tries to steal it away.

I’ve found that when I stay my mind on Him—whether I’m folding laundry, playing with my baby, or sipping coffee as I start my morning g—peace finds me. Not because the chaos disappears, but because my focus shifts from the storm to the Savior.

“…because he trusteth in thee.”
Trust is the soil where contentment grows. When we truly believe that God is good, that He is for us, and that He’s working all things together—even the hard things—we can rest. We can stop striving to control every outcome and instead live with open hands and peaceful hearts.

Sister, contentment isn’t about settling for less. It’s about realizing that with Jesus, we already have more than enough! He is our portion. Our strength. Our peace.

Let Isaiah 26:3 be more than a verse on a mug—let it be a banner over your heart! A promise you cling to when things feel uncertain. A reminder that contentment isn’t found in a perfect life, but in a perfect Savior!
