“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
We don’t have to doubt that God hears us. We can and should be confident knowing that every single one our prayers reaches his ears! Every single petition! Every request! We simply have to bring it before him, lay it at his feet, and trust that he will answer it as it fits his plan and will for our lives.
We can ask anything of God. But we tend to forget that some things we ask for aren’t always going to be an immediate ‘Yes’. Some things he does say ‘No’ for our benefit. Whether it’s a ‘No’ because it wouldn’t be beneficial for our life and spiritual walk, or he simply has something bigger and better in mind.
He is a faithful God! He answers every one of our prayers. He answers prayers daily. Prayers for daily grace and strength. He answers. Prayers you prayed years ago that you may have forgotten or gave up on. He’s answered. Petitions for things of the future, he’ll answer. If we’re in alignment with him and keeping him first, he’ll hear and answer us. If we’re struggling and fallen off the straight and narrow in need of saving, he’ll hear us and answer. Every petition will be answered and fulfilled. We just have to trust his timing is better than our own.
