“Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindness; for they have been ever of old.”
A prayer of a heart that is tender to God and surrendered to him. We a Christians should desire the Lord’s hand in our life! That we should allow him to teach us and to be lead in the truth of his word! For him to be in control allowing him to guide and direct our paths.
To have a humility such as this to lean on the Lord and seek out his teaching, is to be vulnerable and open. To allow him to mold us. To be like clay in the hands of the potter. We can be used greatly of him when we’re seeking him out in humility. To be lead of the Lord is to walk the straight and narrow in his footsteps.
There is comfort in knowing that as we allow him to lead and teach us, he is merciful and loving. He knows that we aren’t perfect and will still stumble in our flesh as long as we’re on this earth. He is gracious towards us and we can know that he will never change. Their is no fear of him changing his mind. He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever!
